Rail Option Sdn Bhd (ROSB) was formed in June 2018. The Company was founded by a combination of agile and experienced rail industrial and corporate experts.
ROSB is a service provider in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) of Railway Rolling Stock and its components. ROSB strives to provide high quality products and services in Rolling Stock MRO, dedicated to improve operational quality, effectiveness and competitiveness of its clients.

Dato’ Sri Zakaria Bahari
ChairmanGraduated with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in 1977 from University of Malaya; Post Graduate Diploma in Port & Shipping from University of Wales, Cardiff in 1984, Chartered Institute of Logistic & Transport (U.K) in 1984; and Masters in Marine Law and Policy from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 1988.
Served the Government for 33 years from 1977 to 2010 in various positions in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport and the National Security Division of the Prime Minister’s Department. Last position before retirement was as the Secretary General, Ministry of Transport from 2006 until 2010. Dato’ Sri Zakaria’s previous posts include Chairman for Lembaga Pelabuhan Bintulu, Railway Asset Corporations, Ipoh Cargo Terminal Sdn. Bhd. and Malaysia Institute of Road Safety (MIROS). Dato Sri Zakaria also held directorships in Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor, Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (Tg. Pelepas, Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd, Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). In recognition of his service, he had been conferred various awards including Ahli Mahkota Perlis (AMP), Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN). Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN), Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan (DPSK) and Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP)
Dato’ Nublan Zaky Dato’ Yusoff Zaky
Managing DirectorGraduated from the International Islamic University of Malaysia with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) in 1989, Master of Science (Multimedia) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2000 and currently pursuing a Ph.D in Islamic Banking and Finance. A Recipient of an Honorary Award from the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in 1989.
Accumulated over 30 years of working experience in the fields of Corporate Finance, Investment Management and Venture Capital, both locally and abroad. His previous appointments in Malaysia includes MD of Abrar Venture Capital Sdn. Bhd., Senior Manager of Abrar Unit Trust Management Bhd. COO of Stone Master Corporation Bhd and Head of Special Projects of Destini Bhd. Involved in Oil & Gas sector as VP Finance for Petrogold Sdn. Bhd. and Greengold Energy Group and ED of Integas Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd. He was also the VP of OIC International Business Center, Kuala Lumpur and VP, OIC Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia. Involved in several venture capital companies in the USA, Canada and China.
Albukhary Awang
Executive DirectorGraduated from George Washington University, Washington DC, USA in 1988, majoring in Computer Science. Had received various Awards and Honours during tenure in George Washington University and had been elected as the President of the Malaysian Students Association in 1988.
Accumulated over 30 years of working experience in the fields of Corporate Planning, Information Technology, Marketing and Business Development.
Served as Managing Director for several local and international companies including RGA Group of Companies, GWU Medical Center, U.S, Veteran Komando Holdings Sdn. Bhd., AV Industrial Engineering Sdn. Bhd., Mutiara Dominasi Sdn. Bhd., Dynamic Urban Habitat Consultant Sdn. Bhd. and Sisma Warisan IT Sdn. Bhd.
Ir. Megat Mukhtar Megat Nasir
Chief Technical OfficerIr. Megat has more than 40 years of experience in the rail transportation industry. He served in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Division of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd. On many occasions, he was also involved as Inspection and Testing Engineer during KTMB’s strategic procurement of rolling stock from abroad.
Ir. Megat was also involved in assisting the Government of Malaysia in selecting a suitable system for the second LRT Project for Metropolitant Kuala Lumpur, which was later known as Putra LRT (now RapidKL LRT Kelana Jaya Line). He was the Head of Systems Engineering Division and system installation team.
Over the last decade, Ir. Megat runs his own consulting firm, offering services to the railway engineering industry.
